We amplify our efforts by concentrating on building projects focused on sustainable human, technical and governance infrastructures. We believe these three fundamental pillars are the key to successful internet development initiatives that benefits local sculture empowers users and generate economic growth.

The internet has revolutionized the computer and communications world like nothing before. The invention of the telegraph, telephone, radio and computer set the stage for this unprecedented integration of capabilities. The internet is at once a world-wide broadcasting capability, a mechanism for information dissemination, and a medium for collaboration and interaction between individuals and their computers without regard for geographic location. The internet represents one of the most successful examples of the benefits of sustained investment and commitment to research and development of information infrastructure.

The internet is as much a collection of communities as a collection of technologies, and its success is largely attributable to both satisfying basic community needs as well as utilizing the community in an effective way to push the infrastructure forward.

The global internet continues to grow at an exponential rate, bringing with it new ways of transcating, communicating, learning, socializing and transforming just about every aspects of daily life. In Africa, despite a slow start internet use is now rapidly accelerating and its transformative effects are increasingly accessible.

The benefits of increased connectivity and internet access come with the attendant challenges of cybercrime and privacy concerns. The African Union has developed a convention on cyber security and personal data protection that would, among other things. Commit member states to establish legal frame works foe e-transactions, protection of data and punishment of violation. But achieving a secure environment and protecting privacy requires collaboration from all internet governance actors.

To create and enable environment, fostering development of the internet infrastructure. This is through the growth of mobile communications and steady growths in internet penetration are in large part attributable to efforts by African government working in partnership with other stakeholders.
