DIGITAL WORLD
Corporate
communication
It is the set of activities that are involved
in management by organizing and orchestrating (organizing or integrating) to all external and internal communication.
This means that it is the integrate approach to all communication produced by
the organization directed to all target audiences. The management is
responsible for offering a frame work and vocabulary for effective coordination
to all means of communication that are used by the organization.
Corporate
communication in the digital world allows the organization to disseminate information to employees, guests, partners via
medium such as emails, screens, tickers and other tools of digital
communication. These digital tool most of the time are not used to sale things
bu rather are used to keep viewers and inform them about something. The type of
content that you keep will dictate the specific application. Some companies
will have just news, stock or weather tickers while others will have screens
touch employees benefits or the status of production lines against quotas and
still others will use employees smart phones and emails to inform them about
the emergence.
The
company that takes the multiple channels approach by incorporating displays
mobile and web communication provide multiple option to its stuffs to receive
information depending on the employees preference. Many companies seek to
create a friend environment through greater involvement of their employees and
the better way to do that is through a digital corporate communication
platform.
In
the digital world communication via companies newsletters and websites are no
longer used most of the time. People have so many things to do so they no
longer have time ti visit the company intranet or website to read and yet
another email to read about the company news. Those companies that are still
growing should change their way of communication so that they can be able to
engage fully their customers and employees. Younger employees are fluent in
technology and expect to see it used in the work place to present information
in real time.
If
a company wants to implement a digital kind of communication first and fore
most there must be a clear plan outlining what the company’s goals
are, what content it will be
presenting any message or theme the company wants to incorporate, and what kind of digital communication the
company will use. For example if the company wants to use the digital displays,
it needs to determine how many make sense in the environment for the
environment and the best location to place then for high visibility and
readability. You should make sure you place display in a place that every
employee will be able to see it sn read it. Or if the company wants to use emails
to give a certain information they should first make an assessment on how many
customers have the email addresses.
Also
you need to determine who will be updating the contents and channels also how
the information will be updated: as with any signage platform. In many
companies the Public Relations department is involved, the Human Resource
department, and marketing department are mostly involved.
To sum
up: the corporate communicating in this digital world has taken a decidedly
causal turn with text messages and even emoticons becoming a standard in the
office. And as the management and you want your company to succeed you should
make sure that the company uses digital means as their way of communication because
through that they will be able to succeed easily.
