Corporate Drive to Internal Communications



Corporate Communications manages external communications, including media relations and public relations. The group also sets internal communication strategy and produces enterprise communications, including.
Management team have the opportunity to do the following:-
  • Develop a solid understanding of the firm’s investment philosophy, spectrum of products and capabilities.
  • Services, and perform analysis and research to evaluate investment performance and objectives in order to suggest meaningful, newsworthy stories for corporate’s internal newsletters and intranet portals.
  • Cultivate and develop a good working relationship and rapport with the firm’s senior leaders, investment professionals, and many others throughout the organization.
  • Consult on the development of communications strategies and messages with business leaders, stakeholders and business support partners.
  • Maintain and enhance the image of organization with internal audiences by promoting firm’s Asset Management leadership and subject matter experts.
  • Secure internal speaking opportunities for corporate subject matter experts that highlight the expertise of the leader and help raise visibility for the organization.
  • Provide counsel and insight for communicating organization’s position(s) around key industry issues and changes to the regulatory environment.
  • Work with communications team members to develop new and creative ways to raise awareness for corporate to the management team members audience through regular story telling within established company channels.
  • Identify ways to plug organization into the communication platforms and programs of the key business-line leaders within the Wealth and Investment Management division and building an investment culture or mindset within the larger organization.
  • Develop detailed talking points for client-facing team members to be used in conversations with both institutional and retail intermediary investor clients about significant product and/or personnel changes, and market and business continuity events.
  • Stay on top of the day-to-day business news cycles and identify opportunities on the calendar when organization’s experts could plug in and offer perspective and commentary on a topic consistent with their field of expertise.
  • Ensure messages are consistent, relevant, brand compliant, and use appropriate delivery methods.
  • Write and edit articles and other planned communications. This includes independently identifying, researching, interviewing for and writing articles aligned with corporate priorities, and working with article contributors to ensure consistency of voice, style and focus.
  • Gather metrics assemble reports for internal communications activities
This is a highly collaborative role, and the candidate will work in partnership with a Communications Consultant (If any) who supports the organization’s internal communications strategy. Communication consultants focused on external public relations strategies for the organization and with the other communicators and marketing professional across the whole Communications team, and the broader Corporate Communications team. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently, but also partner well and think collaboratively. The team member will need to be successful in a highly-matrixed organization and work seamlessly with other Corporate Communications team members.
